Berwyn Muffler Man

Yes, he is holding a giant chicken wing …. yes, he is also holding a bottle of hot sauce … yes, he’s smoking a cigar…. yes, he has a giant Herman Munster scar across his forehead and on his wrists … no, I don’t know why he has any of these things.

He is also sitting on top of a building, which houses a local restaurant, kind of hiding in plain sight.

The restaurant is called Cigars and Stripes BBQ Lounge, and The Berwyn Muffler Man is also known as The Cigars and Stripes Muffler Man.

Apart from all his many accessories, what makes this Muffler Man unique, is that he was made in 2022. He’s one of the very few “new” Muffler Men we have ever seen, with all the others being made in the 60’s and 70’s. This Muffler Man was made by creating a mold from a vintage muffler man and is made of fiberglass.

Rumor has it that this Muffler Man sometimes also has smoke coming from his cigar, but we didn't see that when we visited. 

The Frankenstein stitches are possibly a nod to Svengoolie, a TV character who bases a lot of his comedy on. Berwyn, where this muffler man lives.
