Walking towards Chris and Pitts feels like walking towards a real-life cartoon. The cartoony log cabin facade has to be seen to be believed.

Chris and Pitts has been in business since 1940 and was an instant success with its family recipes and family run service.

Locations sprouted up everywhere, three of which remain today, in Downey, Whittier and Bellflower.

The barbecue was delicious, and you can pick up a bottle of barbecue sauce to take home too.
