First In-N-Out Burger Stand

Harry and Esther Snyder opened the first In-N-Out burger in 1948, giving birth to the first drive thru restaurant in California.

Technically, the structure that stands today is a replica of the first In-N-Out Burger, but it is located on the site of the original In-N-Out Burger. (The original restaurant was sadly destroyed during construction of the stores neighbour - the10 freeway)

This roadside attraction, and photo op, is an adorable vintage throw back, and highly recommended.

You can’t order a burger here (you can just down the road at the nearby modern-day functioning In-N-Out store), but you can step in to a fascinating and enchanting retro hamburger dream

The replica In-N-Out serves as a life size museum exhibit that you can explore, and more importantly, take pictures of yourself at.

Look for original retro features including the white pebble driveway, beautiful neon sign, original menu board (with original prices), and our favorite, the convenient cigarette machine at the drive thru.

You can see the replica store easily from the street any time, but if you want to step on to the site, it’s open Thursday to Sunday, from 11.00am to 2pm.
