Desert Memorial Park, since 1956, is a lovely tranquil oasis in the desert.
Since we took this photo (and after the death of Barbara Sinatra), Franks plaque was changed, and now bears the words “rest well poppa”
Barbara Sinatra is buried next to Frank, and Franks parents, Anthony Sinatra, and Natalie “Dolly” Sinatra can be found in the same row, row B8.
Frank’s uncle Vincent Mazzola, and close friend Jilly Rizzo are also buried nearby.
Other famous names in Desert Memorial Park include the shorter half of Sonny and Cher, Sonny Bono, actress Betty Hutton, choreographer Busby Berkely, Jolie and Magda Gabor (Zsa Zsa’s sister and mother), actor William Powell, and composer Jimmy Van Heusen.
There is a celebrity map available at the office, which is a beautiful modernist building also worth a look.
