Giant Hot Dog Man

Atlanta Illinois must be the Muffler Man capitol of the world, with Muffler Men on just about every corner. and home to the American Giants Muffler Man museum.

One of our favorites is the giant hot dog man - yes, it’s a Muffler Man holding a giant hot dog! Happy days.

Before moving to Atlanta giant hot dog man lived at Bunyon's Drive Through hot dog stand in Cicero Illinois. He was erected there in the mid-sixties and lived there for 40 years until Bunyons closed in 2003.

Enter the Preservation Committee of the Illinois Route 66 Association who arranged for giant hot dog man to move to Atlanta as a must-see Route 66 attraction. Happy days again - everyone’s a wiener.

Giant hot dog man, known as Tall Paul, is the only muffler we know of with a giant wiener (also a giant bun). He stands at 19 feet tall and was manufactured by International Fiberglass in the 1960’s.

He’s a must see - one of our favorites.
