Giant Robot

San Diego’s giant robot is officially known as ComTron 2000 and stands outside the Paseo at Comm22 housing project.

With many nods to vintage tin toys, if you look closely, you’ll notice the robot is also decorated with Mexican made Mayan designs.

The 16-foot robot was created by brothers Jamex and Einar de la Torre and is a glorious addition to the city's public art collection, free to see and accessible 24 hours a day.
