I actually had a little wave of emotion visiting The Carpenters apartments.
Kind of a strange reaction when visiting the investment properties of 1970’s sensational singing celebrity siblings, Karen and Richard Carpenter.
Maybe it was because we were playing Carpenters hits all the way there and discussing Karen Carpenters’ extremely sad death from anorexia complications.
Adorably, The Carpenters named their two apartment blocks “Close to you”, and “Only just Begun” after two of their biggest hits.
This was a fun (if melancholy) stop - and temptingly, apartments are currently available.
