When it comes to the city of Anaheim, everything seems to have a sprinkling of pixie dust floating from the city's most famous resident, Disneyland. Neighboring Angel Stadium is no exception, especially as the Disney company, a major shareholder, oversaw its 1996 renovation. The stadium has many Disney-esque touches - giant baseball bats adorning the box office, Mickey statues on the forecourt and inside, the “California Spectacular”, a giant rock pile that works as a waterfall, fountain, and even shoots flames when The Angels hit a home run.

But the most eye catching and kitsch fabulous of all are the forecourt shade areas in the shape of two giant baseball hats - and by giant, I mean GIANT … they can be seen from the freeway!     As a matter of fact, the tag inside each hat says they are size 640 1/2. The two big red hats, complete with giant A Angel's logos also shade the Angels stadium walk of fame, featuring handprints of Angels legends including Reggie Jackson and Don Sutton.

If there is not a game on, you can drive right up to the giant baseball hats for free, and if there is a game on, go Angels!!
